In this processing step, you can revise or redefine existing matchcodes for assets.
Note
The maintenance of matchcodes requires technical knowledge of the ABAP4 Dictionary. Let your system administrators handle the maintenance of matchcodes.
Using a large number of matchcodes can have a negative affect on the performance of the system. Check which matchcodes you want to use for your area. You can deactivate matchcodes that you do not want to use. Matchcodes apply across clients.
Default settings
SAP delivers the following matchcodes for the asset masters:
- ID: A = description and asset class
- ID: C = cost center
- ID: I = inventroy number
- ID: M = investment orders
- ID: P = investment projects
- ID: R = group asset

Revise or add to these definitions according to your requirements.
