Note

  • This activity is relevant for SAP ECC 5.0.
  • As of SAP Enhancement Package 2 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 602) there are new activities available under Sales and Distribution -> "Internal Sales Representative" Role -> Personal Worklist (New).

Control Portal Target Navigation from the 'Workload Application' ( VPW1)

Here you make the settings necessary to enable communication between the overview container (task areas - transaction VPW1) and the target objects in the portal (transactions, reports, and lists).

Any entries you make here are available in transaction VPW1.

Requirements

To enable the complete range of functions for workload determination, you need to add a counting mechanism to the included reports, or add function modules that return this kind of data.

Standard settings

If possible, you should not change the standard system, because it is based on the standard portal role structure.

Activities

To enhance an existing role with portal targets, create a new entry with the relevant information (note that the descriptions must be available in all languages used in the portal):

  • Role
  • Target ID (technical key)
  • Description (available in transaction VPW1 and in the personalization screens for the role in the portal)
  • Report name (the system uses this entry to determine the workload)
  • Location path (there are two columns available that are joined together online). The location path contains the role path to the target object in the portal.
  • Nav. mode (selection between portal navigation and external windows)
    • '0' Navigation in the portal
    • '1' New window without portal structure
    • '2' New window with portal structure
  • Counter off (no workload determination)
  • Static parameters (additional parameters that must be transferred to the target object).
