In this IMG acitivity you define the date rules that determine which dates are chosen for determining the pricing date and the settlement date and the sequence in which they are accessed. The dates can be, for example, the end of transportation planning or the start of lading.

In the definition for date rules, you enter the possible dates in an order reflecting their priority for access. If no value exists for the first date, but a value exists for the second date, then the second is taken as the date on which pricing or settlement is carried out (depending on the setting).

  1. Create a date rule. Specify an alphanumeric key of up to four digits and a text description.
  2. Determine the dates for the date rule in the required access sequence.

Further notes

The date rule to be used for the pricing date or the settlement date can be controlled in the definition of the item categories.
