In this IMG activity you define the pricing procedure. You also assign transactions to the pricing procedure transactions by defining the following dependencies for:

  • service agents
  • for the shipment cost items
  • for the shipping type
  • for the transportation planning point

In the pricing procedure you determine which condition types are taken into account and in which order. During pricing, the SAP System automatically determines the pricing procedure valid for a transaction and considers the condition types it contains one after the other.

Pricing procedure determination is carried out for each transportation planning point.

SAP Recommendation

  • You should always define you own pricing procedure containing only those condition types that you actually use. Otherwise the system makes unnecessary accesses to other conditions.
  • You should not change the pricing procedures contained in the standard system.

Activities

  1. Create a new pricing procedure by copying a similar pricing procedure.
    • Specify a key of up to 6 characters and a text description.
    • Specifiy the condition types for a determination procedure in the sequence in which they are to be used.
      • Maintain the lines of the pricing procedure.
  2. Also, define the service agent procedure group for determining the pricing procedure and assign service agents to it.
  3. Define the item category procedure group for determining the pricing procedure and assign item categories to it.
  4. Define the shipping type procedure groups for determining the pricing procedrue and assign shipping types to it.
  5. To each transportation planning point, assign a permitted combination of:
    • item category procedure group
    • service agent procedure group
    • and shipping type procedure group.
