In this step, you specify the transportation relevance for delivery types, delivery item categories and routes.

Delivery types and delivery item categories for which transportation processing is to be carried out must be characterized as relevant for transportation. All routes that are to be used for the shipment must also be set as relevant for transportation.

You can enter further controls that are relevant for transportation for each delivery type in the detail screen:

  • The shipment blocking reason specifies whether a delivery is blocked for transporation processing. If you set the delivery type correspondingly, the shipment blocking reason can be proposed automatically.
  • You can specify whether a transportation planning index should be created.

You can also specify for each route whether a transportation planning index should be created.

Activities

  1. Specify which delivery types and delivery item categories are relevant for transportation.
  2. On the detail screen for each delivery type, specify if necessary whether a shipment blocking reason should be proposed in the document or whether a transportation planning index should be created.
  3. Specify which routes are relevant for transportation.
  4. If necessary, enter a factory calendar for each route. Specify whether a transportation planning index should be created.
