In this step, you define the characteristic weights.
You can define weight classes for the characteristics according to any desired criteria. For each weight class, you can specify a weight factor that determines whether a skip will be allowed for a characteristic belonging to this particular weight class.
In certain procedures, characteristic weights are used to calculate the quality score.
Standard settings
The standard system contains weight classes that correspond to the defect classes (for reasons of compatibility with the R/2 system).
SAP Recommendation
If you want to transfer factors for defect weights from an R/2 system, you must define the corresponding classes for the characteristic weights. Otherwise, define classes for characteristic weights according to your needs. Internationally recognized criteria for classification and weighting purposes are not yet available.
Activities
- Define the desired characteristic weights and their attributes.
- Define a default value for the characteristic weight in the menu option Settings at plant level.
