To use production resources or tools (PRTs) in standard networks or networks, you must first define a usage for the PRT.

You can define different usages for the same PRT, for example, across applications.

Each usage that you specify must also be assigned to a task list type.

Note

The usage key is relevant for the following production resource/tool categories:

  • Material PRT
  • Equipment PRT
  • Miscellaneous PRT (has its own master record)

Standard settings

SAP has predefined various usages.

For the Project System, the usage "network" is assigned the task list type "standard network". This assignment is also valid for networks.

Actions

  1. Define the usage of your production resources/tools.
  2. Assign task list types to the usages.
