In this step, you change existing account posting types and/or define new account posting types.
These account posting types enable you to reproduce goods movement of returnable packaging between two business partners.
For each posting type, you can assign business management roles to the fields for location and exchange partner. The roles "sender", "recipient" and "settlement partner" are currently available. Users can then enter business partners in the system under these business management roles, instead of under the more technical roles of "location" and "exchange partner".

Standard settings
The system is shipped as standard with preset account posting types for all transactions.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you work with these standard settings. If you do so, no further activities are necessary.
If you define new account posting types, you should create these with reference to an existing posting type.
Activities
Enter the reversal movement for each account posting type. If the transaction type is a transfer posting, the movement for the offsetting account is also required.
If you change an account posting type, you must make sure that the reversal posting type and movement type for the offsetting account are kept consistent.
