Use the control key of the operation to determine
- the business functions you want to carry out
- how you want to deal with the operation.
The most important parameters are:
- capacity planning
This indicator allows
- the operation to be scheduled
- capacity requirement records to be created for this operation.
- costing
This indicator ensures that the operation is taken into account in costing.
- external processing
This indicator allows the operation to be performed externally.
- Completion confirmation
This indicator allows you to control
- whether the operation can be confirmed
- the type of the completion confirmation of this operation
- Printing of time tickets
This indicator allows time tickets to be printed for this operation.
- general costs activity
This indicator is used for project system operations and can therefore not be activated for maintenance and service orders. If you activate the indicator in the control key, you will not obtain costs for confirmed times or for external services to the corresponding operation.
In the master data screen default values of the work center, you can determine whether the control key is stored in the task list as a reference or as a default value. In maintenance- and service processing, the control key is always taken as the default value.
Note
Remember that the 'milestone confirmation' function is not supported in maintenance- and service processing. This means that for control keys that create a milestone confirmation in the PP system, every operation requiring confirmation must be confirmed explicitly for maintenance- and service orders.
A subsequent change to the parameters of the control keys is crucial if the control keys have already been used in task lists.
