In this step, you maintain the notification abbreviations for Training and Event Management (TEM) correspondence, and assign recipient groups and booking priorities to them.
Notification abbreviations stand for the various items of correspondence required for TEM activities, for example, confirmation of booking, cancellation of event.
When you assign recipient groups and booking priorities, you are determining the recipients of the document.
Example
A booking is made. Attendees who have the booking priority 'Normal' and 'Essential' subsequently receive written confirmation of registration. This is stored under the notification abbreviation BUCH.
Standard settings
The standard TEM system contains standard entries for all of the most common activities.
In the standard system, recipient groups are already assigned to notification abbreviations.
Booking priorities have not been assigned already in the standard system. If you have certain specifications you want to make, you must maintain the assignment for each abbreviation you use.
If you do not do this, documents are output to attendees with all booking priorities (including waiting list priority).
Activities
- Check whether the standard system contains all of the notification abbreviations you require for your transactions and activities in TEM.
- Add your own abbreviations where necessary.
- Assign a suitable selection screen to your notification abbreviations.
- Carry out the steps described here for your new notification abbreviations.
