Recommendation
SAP recommends using the SAPScript word processing system since
- SAP provides standard letters in SAPScript for the IS-RE applications
- at the moment, only SAPScript can access the optical archive
Notes
If you do not use SAPScript:
Once the data retrieval program has saved the data in the working memory, you will have to develop a program logic that will enable you to transmit data to your word processing system.
The report documentation for the individual reports contains details about the data retrieval program that SAP usually supplies. A list of these reports is available in the section "Maintaining Letters"
