Here you can set the following global parameters for the IDoc interface:
- IDoc administrator
To establish an agent who is notified in the event of an error, the IDoc interface reads the partner profile. If errors occur before the partner profile has been read, the IDoc administrator specified here is notified.
- IDoc system environment
Inform the IDoc interface whether or not certain SAP modules used by the interface are available in your system: message controland the application modules.
- General IDoc Interface
If syntax errors occur when creating IDocs, they are logged in status records. Here you specify the maximum amount of syntax errors you want logged as individual status records.
- Inbound IDoc processing: synchronous processing ?
If you set this indicator, further inbound processing is triggered synchronously (via the 'synchronous consumption' of an event). In this case the transfer to the interface takes longer than with asynchronous triggering.
Note: For port type 'tRFC' the indicator has no effect.
- Suppress warnings for errors in status processing ?
If an incorrect status record is imported from a file in a status confirmation and this indicator is set, no warning is generated. Workflow notifications which are created by the status confirmation and refer to the contents of the status records are not affected by this indicator.
- After how many data records should a COMMIT WORK be stopped?
Via the command COMMIT WORK, IDocs are stored in a file in a database after they have been read.
Example
- Syntax error: 5
The IDoc interface logs syntax errors in a maximum of five status records. If more than five syntax errors occur, you get a sixth status record that states that more than five syntax errors have occurred. These are no longer logged individually as status records, however.
Standard settings
The following values are set in the standard version:
- Maximum system environment, that is, message control and applications
- Maximum number of syntax errors: 5
- Commit after 10000 data records
- All other fields are empty.
Activities
- Enter the parameters and their respective system parameter values.
- Save you entries.
Notes on transport
The entries should be made in the productive client. They cannot be transported.
Further notes
'IDoc administrator' can also stand for a complete organizational unit. This must be defined in the organizational model.
