To create business partners, you need number ranges within which you can assign internal or external numbers. You can also assign alphanumeric keys for your business partners. You can also assign alphanumeric keys for your business partners.

You can define a separate number range for each function the business partner assumes. However, for insurance providers and customers it makes more sense to use a common number range.
This number range is used when you create a business partner in the corresponding function.

The numbers of business partners are unique within a client.

Activities

The system uses the number range object ISH_NGPA for the business partners. The number ranges for the various business partners are distinguished by object keys. Even if you don't reserve a separate number range for each function, an entry must exist for each of the object keys listed below.

Caution: Deleting an entry for an object key can result in abnormal program termination.

You should use the following object keys:

  • ARBG - employer
  • DEBI - customer
  • GPAR - business partner
  • KOST - insurance provider
  • KRKH - hospital
  • NRP - person not stored in the RP/HR system
  • RP - number range reserved for persons who are to be transferred from the RP/HR system.

The object key RP lets you reserve an external number range for persons who already exist in your RP/HR system and whom you wish to define as business partners in your IS-H System. It is not possible to specify an internal number range for the object key RP.

If you reserve your own external number range for the object key RP, you have to make sure that this external number range is not used for any other object, and that no other external number range affects the RP number range.

Since the RP/HR ID is shorter than the IS-H business partner ID, the use of a prefix enables you to store the ID from your PR/HR system in the IS-H System, thereby creating an optical reference to the RP/HR system.

Example

  • RP ID: 12345678
  • IS-H ID: 10 12345678

The external number range with the object key RP could look as follows: 1000000000 - 1000999999.

You do not make a specification in the Institution field.

If you want to use different number range intervals for each institution, you have to choose different number ranges for each institution and enter the four-character institution number in the Obj. Key field. Otherwise, enter the wildcard * in this field.

Enter N for normal operation in the transaction mode field M.

You maintain the number range interval by choosing Intervals and then Insert Interval. The system checks whether the number range intervals overlap. The numbers for external and internal number intervals must not overlap.

You can specify internal and external number ranges for each object. The external number range can be alphanumeric. In such cases, you are not required to create a separate number range. You need only flag the A (alphanumeric) checkbox for the corresponding object.
