In this IMG activity, you define the service catalog columns ( charge factors, price, etc.) for a particular institution.

You assign a data type and a data format to each column. This definition relates to the column value in the services (service master records).

Requirements

You must have created the service catalog for which you want to define columns.

Activities

You define a service column by specifying

  • The institution (under a 4-character key) in the Inst. field
  • The service catalog identification key in the SC field
  • The column number (not necessarily consecutive, alphanumeric, 2-character) in the Cl field
  • The name of the column in the Column Header field
  • The validity period in the Valid From and Valid To fields
  • The data type for the column value (N for numeric, C for alphanumeric) in the Typ field
  • The maximum length of the column value (including decimal places) in the Len field
  • The number of decimal places for the column values in the No. field
  • A currency indicator. This indicator determines whether the values in the column are interpreted as amounts for the currency specified in the service catalog.
