In this IMG activity, you define the age-group classification for

  • Statistics according to the Federal Regulation for Hospitals (Germany)
  • Nursing Staff Regulation evaluations (Germany)
  • Determining characteristics in Controlling and data transfer into the Executive Information System (EC-EIS).

Activities

  1. Enter the institution (Inst. field) and the age group category (Cty field). The age-group categories you can enter are listed in the value help for this field.
  2. Enter a user-defined three-character key for the age-groups in the AG field.
  3. The age-group classification is time-dependent. You enter the validity period in the fields Valid From and Valid To.
  4. Now specify the age limits in the Frm and To fields.

Note

Note that the age you specify as the upper age limit does not count for this age-group. A patient's age is entered on the following basis: patients aged from from years to under to years.

This does not apply to the Nursing Staff Regulation evaluations. Here you have to define the age limits without overlaps (e.g. 0 - 4, 5 - 14, etc.).
