In this IMG activity, you define reasons for a copayment waiver being granted for patients with statutory medical insurance.
Country version Austria: You enter a possible waiver for the contribution toward nursing costs for social insurance cases in the Copayment Waiver field.
Requirements
You need to have already created the
institution for which you want to define reasons for copayment waiver.
Activities
You define a reason for copayment being waived by specifying:
- The institution (four-character key) in the Inst field
- A user-defined key (two-character, alphanumeric) in the CpW field
- The reason for copayment being waived in the Copayment Waiver field
- The internal reason in the Int. Copayt Waiver field, if possible.
- Country version Austria: In cases of waiver from contribution, you have to enter the reason in the AT: Nursing Cost Contribution Waiver field.
Note
The internal coding is used to automatically determine the copayment waiver reason for insurance providers requiring copayment. By means of the internal reason, the system can determine the key for the reasons Not 18 or Older or Day Patient Treatment, for example.
The internal reasons Max. Copayment Amount/Year Paid, Not Paid Despite Reminder, Copayment Exemption, and No Forwarding Address for Patient prevent the generation program from creating copayment requests for the corresponding case.
Country Version Austria:
The content of the AT: Nursing Cost Contribution Waiver field is used for electronic data interchange with the main association of social insurance bodies.
