In this IMG activity, you define various classification types for each classification category. A classification type further classifies the respective classification category.

You can use any key for the classification type. The text should reflect the meaning of the "internal" classification type, provided one exists.

There are no restrictions on specifying the keys for classification types for which there is no corresponding internal coding.

Execution

  1. The initial screen lists the existing classification types.
  2. You can maintain these individually by positioning the cursor on an entry, and then choosing Choose.
  3. In the resulting detail screen, you can specify the following:

  • Classification type
  • Internal classification type
  • Age limit

    This last entry is only relevant for nursing acuity classification.

Note for nursing acuity classification:

As classification types, you can store the four areas for the care of adults, adolescents, children and premature babies/newborns.

In addition, you can specify the corresponding age limits for classification in the appropriate classification type.
