In this IMG activity, you define birth procedures that are relevant for government-mandated birth statistics (in Germany). You can also create your own birth procedures.

Use

You enter the birth procedure with the birth data.

Country version Germany: Births are evaluated by groups according to specific birth procedures in SA50 statistics.

Activities

  1. Enter a key for the birth procedure in the B field.
  2. Enter the corresponding short text in the Birth Procedure field.
  3. To ensure that the various birth procedures are assigned correctly in statistics, you have to characterize the statistically-relevant birth procedures separately. The following fields are provided for this purpose:
    • F for forceps delivery
    • V for vacuum extraction
    • C for cesarean

      Flag the appropriate checkbox.

      Do not flag these checkboxes if a birth procedure is not relevant for statistics.
