In this IMG activity, you maintain movement types that further classify the predefined movement categories.

Use

You can assign any number of movement types to a movement category. These movement types are evaluated and output in the patient information lists and in the advanced patient search.

Activities

Enter the institution (Inst field) and the movement category (C field).

Store the key for the movement type in the MT field and the corresponding text in the Text field.

In the Block Date From field, enter the date as of which this movement type is no longer to be valid. This prevents the movement type in question from being selected after this date.

You can assign reasons for movement (according to §301 - Germany) to the movement types. This means that when you enter a movement type in the admission and discharge transactions, the system defaults the assigned reason for movement. For more information about this, refer to the section entitled Define Reasons for Movement.

You maintain the assigned reasons for movement in the detail screen.

You can use the various indicators that are also on the detail screen to further classify the movement types. For information on the use of these indicators, refer to the F1 help for each of these indicators.

Further notes

The Short Treatment indicator is intended in particular to enable dialysis that is performed within a day patient case to be recognized in the system.

  • Additional information for Singapore

The Day Hospital indicator is intended in particular for classifying cases as 'day hospital' cases.

The Short Treatment indicator is important for recognizing 'day surgery' cases.
