In this IMG activity, you create building unit categories along with corresponding texts and control indicators. You define building unit categories for each client.
Use
The category lets you determine which functions can be performed by the building unit.
Activities
- Assign the IDs and texts for the building categories.
- Specify if the category is for a room (R checkbox) or for a bed location (B checkbox).
- The Typ (building type) field enables you to further classify the building categories by room or bed location. The possible input values are listed in the value help.
Note
Please note the following when setting the room indicator for a building category:
- Only rooms can be located above bed locations in the building unit hierarchy. You therefore have to flag corridors in which beds are to be set up as rooms.
You create the link to the organizational structure on room level.
- By means of the building type of a room, you determine whether patients can be assigned to this room. The building type serves to differentiate rooms and corridors in the care unit overview graphic. You can make the following entries:
- 11 = sickroom, in which patients can receive inpatient care
- 12 = corridor, in which beds can be set up
- Patients can be assigned to the room.
- 13 = corridor, in which no beds are set up
- Patients cannot be assigned here. The corridor is only used for the graphical display.
- 14 = other room of a care unit
- Patients cannot be assigned here.
- 15 = treatment room in the outpatient clinic
- Patients can be assigned to the room.
Please note the following when setting the bed location indicator:
- If the building unit is defined with a category for which this indicator is set, this means that this building unit supports the setting up of a sick-bed for the treatment of patients.
- The building type of a bed location can be used for bed assignment. The building type is displayed in the care unit overview graphic. You can enter the following values for the building types of a bed location:
- 01 = bed location for standard beds
- 02 = bed location for specialized beds
- 03 = bed location for overflow beds
You can only select one of the two indicators. Ensure that the building types match the indicator.
