In this step, you can maintain validity periods for the different code combinations of FI-SL summary tables.
You can validate the dimensions stored in the object tables for FI-SL summary tables and make sure that
- only combinations of certain dimensions are valid.
- dimensions or combinations of dimensions are only valid for a certain period of time.
If postings are to made to a ledger in this table, the system validates the dimension combination.
Requirements
The following requirement must be fulfilled so that you can maintain the dimension combinations in an object table:
In the "Maintain Integrated Master Data" step of this implementation guide (Table T800D), entries must be maintained for the individual table entries.
The dimension combinations must be activated in order for the FI-SL programs to be able to validate them.
Actions
If you want to create code combinations, proceed as follows:
- Specify the FI-SL summary table for whose code combinations you want to maintain validity periods.
- Choose whether you want to maintain the valid posting periods for actual postings or for plan postings.
- Maintain the validity periods for the required combinations.
- Specify for which dimension values you want to create the code combinations.
- Save the code combinations.
If you want to maintain code combinations, proceed as follows:
- Specify the FI-SL summary table for whose code combinations you want to maintain validity periods.
- Specify for which dimension values you want to maintain code combinations.
- Maintain the validity periods for your code combinations.
