The data entered in other SAP application areas or external systems is transferred into the FI-SL system using activities. The source data is classified according to business aspects using activities. In the "Maintain Activities" step, you can maintain the activities that are assigned to your company code/ledger or global company/ledger combinations.
Standard settings
Since the standard settings in the FI-SL system are usually sufficient, you will seldom need to use this function (for example, when you want to maintain an activity grouping code).
Caution
Cross-client objects are maintained when you use this function. Therefore, when you maintain these objects, all clients in the system are affected.
Actions
- Maintain the activity grouping code, if required. The activity grouping code groups together activities that are subject to the same ledger selection conditions.
- Specify whether the FI-SL line item table is to be updated by the activity.
- Maintain the activity text, if necessary.
- Check all other additional settings (sender tables, activity type, record type, currencies, and so on).
