In this step, you can install an FI-SL summary table to which an object table with variable key fields is assigned.
Recommendation
Cross-client objects are maintained when you use this function. Therefore, when you maintain these objects, all clients in the system are affected.
You should only start the installation if no postings are being made in any client of the productive system.
Requirements
You can only use this function if the relevant tables have already been defined in the ABAP/4 Dictionary.
Tables you create must begin with ZZ up to Release 3.0E. Beginning with Release 3.0F, the naming conventions for FI-SL tables have been enhanced such that you can use table names with the form Y..... or Z......
Actions
- Specify whether it is a local or global table.
- Specify the name of the object table assigned to your FI-SL table. You must enter an object table whose fields you want to use as the sender or receiver (object table 1). You also have the option of using fields that do not have a sender/receiver relationship (object table 2).
- Enter the name of the summary table that you want to install.
- If you want to write actual line items, plan line items, rollup actual line items and/or rollup plan line items in your productive system later, enter the name of the relevant line item table.
- Check the consistency of the entered tables.
Note
In the dialog box that follows, you must select the components you wish to use later. The system marks all the components automatically. Enter a reference table that matches your requirements for each component. If necessary, you can use GLT1 as a reference table for local ledgers and GLT2 as a reference table for global ledgers. More information on reference tables is available in online Help.
If you want to update structure GLU1 during installation, mark "Update GLU1." If you want to update programs necessary for installation, mark "Update programs." The system sets this indicator automatically. When installing new tables, you will have to mark it yourself. More details about this indicator are available in online Help.
