In this step, you can install FI-SL summary tables without object tables.

This function is only available for transparent tables. You can only install tables with a maximum of 16 key fields. Since some of the fields are defined as fixed, only a few free fields are available to the customer.

Table groups you create must begin with ZZ up to Release 3.0E. Beginning with Release 3.0F, the naming conventions for FI-SL tables has been enhanced such that you can use table names with the form Y..... and Z......

Recommendation

Cross-client objects are maintained when you use this function. Therefore, when you maintain these objects, all clients in the system are affected.

You should only start the installation if no postings are being made in any client of the productive system.

Actions

  1. Specify whether it is a local or global table.
  2. Enter the name of the summary table you want to install.
  3. If you want to write line items in your productive system later, enter the name of the relevant line item table.

If you want to write plan line items in your productive system later, enter the name of the relevant plan line item table.

  4. If you want to work with FI-SL planning or rollups in your productive system, you must specify a lock object.

The "Planning" and "Rollup" functions use the lock object to block the planned and/or rolled-up dataset when the program is running.
