Use
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Plant Maintenance (PM) and SAP 3D Visual Enterprise (CA-VE) components.
You can use this BAdI to influence the SAP standard logic for the following process steps:
- Map tags from the RH file to the spare part metadata
- Determine spare parts (materials or non-stock materials)

You can use the BAdI methods as follows:
- BAdI method SKIP_STANDARD_METADATA_MAPPING (Skip SAP Standard Metadata Mapping)
Before the system uses the standard tagging logic to determine and map the tags to the metadata, the system checks if you have used this BAdI method to skip the SAP standard metadata mapping.
- BAdI method MAP_METADATA_AFTER_STANDARD (Map Metadata and Determine Material After Standard Mapping)
- If you skip the standard tagging logic, you must implement this method to execute your own tagging logic.
- If the standard tagging logic is executed, you can use this BAdI method to change individual tagging results and metadata mapping done by the system.
- You can also specify a material before the SAP standard logic for determining materials runs. The system uses the material you entered in this BAdI method as the relevant material in the spare parts list.
- BAdI methodADJUST_SP_BEFORE_LIST_OUTPUT (Adjust Spare Parts Before List Output)
You can use this BAdI method to replace the material number that the system has determined by analyzing data such as the manufacturer part number (MPN) or the International Article Number (EAN). You can also replace individual field values, such as the spare part description or quantity.
