You use this activity to specify one or more Web servers for a logical document class. Every host definition contains a particular Location in its definition.

Specify the name of the Web server by specifying its HTTP port, and also its HTTPS port, if necessary. You need to specify the HTTPS port if the Web server will be accessed via HTTPS.

Usually, the Web server at the chosen location is used for the display. However, if there is no Web server at that location, the server with the "default" flag set is used instead.

  1. Execute the activity.

    This takes you to an overview of all Web servers defined for a logical document class.

  2. You can now do any of the following:
    • Change existing entries
    • Add new entries
    • Copy and change new entries
    • Delete existing entries
    • Undo any entries you make

      Choose the appropriate symbol to execute the activity.

  3. Save your entries.

Further notes

You can create a number of entries with different host names for the same document space. This makes load distribution possible.
