Use
To be able to use the functions of Flexible Real Estate Management in the SAP ECC Extension, you have to set the activation indicator. Before you do so, however, read the information below under Note.
- Within the SAP ECC Extension, activate the Financials Extension (application code EA-FIN).
- This indicator affects all clients.
Display or Change SAP Enterprise Extension - Activate the BTE Application (RE). For more information, refer to the documentation.
- This indicator affects all clients.
Activate BTE Application RE - Then activate the Real Estate Extension in this activity.
- This indicator is client-specific.
The current setting of indicators 1 and 2 are displayed in this activity, but cannot be changed here.
Note
Once you activate this client-specific indicator, the transactions of Classic RE no longer function in the client. Nor can you access the data of Classic RE.
For this reason, no data of Classic RE should exist in the current client when you activate the Real Estate Extension.
@1A@ The program does not check this, however. You should therefore activate the extension only after consulting with SAP.
The same thing applies to deactivation. Once data has been created with Flexible Real Estate Management, Classic RE can no longer be used. For this reason, you should not deactivate the indicator after that point.
If you were using Classic RE up to now, you can migrate your Classic RE data using transaction REMICL. Make sure you refer to SAP Note 828160.
