Use
In this Customizing activity for the Report Quality Issue and My Quality Tasks applications, you can configure the default plant for which the quality issues (quality notifications) are reported, the catalog profile in use, and the maximum number of records displayed by the applications. You can also configure common and attachment-specific settings.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system is delivered with predefined entries. We recommend that you copy the existing entries and adapt the copies as described below.
Activities
- Select the application that you want to configure.
- Enter the plant number.
You can enter the default plant for which you want to report quality issues. The default plant is used as a fallback if another plant is not configured in the settings area of the Report Quality Issue application.
The default plant is not applicable to quality tasks.
- Enter a catalog profile.
For more information about catalog profiles, see Define Catalog Profile.
- Enter the maximum number of displayed records per application.
- In the Common Configuration folder, enter the notification types that you can create and process using the applications, and the notification type that should be created or processed by default.
To specify all available notification types, you can either use an asterisk "*" in the corresponding field or you can leave the table empty.
Caution:
For the Report Quality Issue application, you must enter at least one default notification type.
Currently, using the Report Quality Issue application, you can create only records of notification type Q3.
- In the Attachment Configuration folder, specify the category (storage), maximum file size (in bytes), and the logical file name for the attached files.
Caution:
We recommend that you set a maximum file size to restrict the size of the images that are attached to quality issues. If you set a large file size, the HTTP request that creates a quality notification in the back-end system may not be able to transmit the attached file and, therefore, the quality notification may not contain the particular attachment.
For more information about the creation of logical files, start the transaction FILE.
