Use
In this Customizing activity, you select fields for a service which must undergo mandatory or format checks. The Customizing can be specified to the level of service name.
The relevant fields to be set here are:
- Mandatory Field
Specifies whether the selected field is mandatory or not (empty XML value tags are not allowed if it is mandatory).
- Format Check
Specifies if the selected field's format is checked to ensure it is valid. For example, format check can be performed for fields which are of type 'Date' and 'DateTime'.
Requirements
SAP delivers the names of the services with the appropriate field names in the service interface.
Note that you must also activate MandatoryFieldChecking and FormatCheck for the given service and connected system in Customizing activity Activate Verification for Services, otherwise the mandatory and format field checks set up will not be considered.

Set the mandatory fields. Ensure they are made valid against a service name and a field name.
