Use
In this Customizing activity, you specify the duration for which the system must retain log messages before they are automatically deleted. For each log type, you can decide how long a message type must be retained by the system.
The following log types exist:
- Messages related to caching
- Messages related to saving in the background
- Messages related to saving drafts to operative projects
- Messages related to saving operative projects in the unlocked mode
You can define a maximum permitted number of messages for each log type. If this number is exceeded, the system automatically deletes the message that has been stored the longest.
You can set up a maximum retention period for messages. If you define values for a log type, the system deletes messages at the expiry of the retention period. In this case, the system does not send a message to the user.
If you define both values for a log type and a message type, the system deletes messages as soon as one of the conditions is fulfilled (either the number of messages or the expiry of retention period).
The system does not send a message to the user in either case.
