In this IMG activity, you define the number ranges for reservations.
All components in the process order are identified via a reservation number, assigned for each order, and a sequential counter.
Number ranges are assigned via the object type "PPS order" and the object "Reservation".
Note
Only one internal number assignment is allowed for the reservation number in the process order.
Requirements
To define number intervals for reservations, you need authorization for the number range object "RESB". This number range object is checked in the authorization object "S_NUMBER".
Default settings
Number ranges for reservations are preset in the standard system.
Activities
- Change or delete the number ranges in the standard system if necessary.
- Define the ranges and number intervals for the object type "PPS order" and the object "Reservation".
Further notes
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
