In this IMG activity, you define the statuses for production resources/tools with PRT master records (miscellaneous).
The PRT status specifies whether a production resource/tool is:
- Released for planning and can therefore be used in recipes/task lists and orders
- Released for production and is therefore regarded as available by the availability check in production orders, maintenance orders, or networks
Since production resources/tools are not yet supported in the process order, it does not have any functioncal consequences if you release the PRT for production in PP-PI.
You assign the PRT status to production resources/tools when you create them. You later change the status when there are changes to the availability of the production resource/tool.
