In this IMG activity, you define the formulas you want to use to calculate the following data on production resources/tools (PRT):
- The PRT quantity used during order processing
- The total usage value, that is, the wear and tear of a production resource/tool expected during order processing
You can allocate the formulas to a production resource/tool in the following locations in the system:
- In the master record of the production resource/tool:
The formulas you enter are either referenced or copied to the corresponding PRT assignments of the master recipes
- In master recipes when allocating a production resource/tool to an operation or phase
Note
Since production resources/tools are not yet supported in the process order, the formulas do not have any functional significance in PP-PI at present.

The formula parameters you want to use in your formulas must have been defined in the system.

Further notes
When carrying out the activity, note the system displays both PRT formulas and formulas for resources. The resource formulas serve to calculate capacity requirements, lead times, and costs.
