In this IMG activity, you define the control keys for production resources/tools (PRT).

In the control key, you set different indicators to specify which business functions are to be carried out for a production resource/tool.

You use PRT control keys in the following locations in the system:

  • In production resources/tools:

    You can enter a control key that is either referenced or copied to the PRT assignments of the master recipes.

  • In master recipes when allocating production resources/tools to operations and phases:

    If you have not maintained a default value in the resource, you must enter a control key here.

Note

In PP-PI, the control key does not yet have any functional significance as:

  • Production resources/tools are not yet considered in recipe scheduling or product costing
  • Production resources/tools are not yet supported in the process order
