In this step you define the capacity category that you want to assign to the resource.

With capacity category you determine,

  • which capacity type a capacity category belongs to, for example:
    • "available capacity in volumes/quantity" for storage resources
    • "available capacity in time units" for processing units

  • whether a capacity category can be assigned to people as single capacities

You later enter the available capacity of your resource for the capacity category. The capacity requirements are determined for the capacity category in the process order.

  • Process unit
  • Storage
  • Storage + time
