PIM_CUSTOMIZING
Use
In this Customizing activity, you define parameter values to control the general behavior of the API for product information management (PIM) systems.
When you assign values to a set of parameters, you create a configuration. Depending on your requirements, you can create one or more configurations.

Activities
Create a configuration by defining values for the following parameters:
PIMCLIENT/IMPLEMENTATION: This is the ABAP class name of the PIM client implementation. The default value is CL_PIM_CLIENT_DEMO.
PIMSERVICEPROVIDER/GWRFCDESTINATION: This is the RFC destination of a remote SAP system that has SAP NetWeaver Gateway (component SAP_GWFND) installed. SAP NetWeaver Gateway is required for the implementation of an ABAP OData client. If your SAP system does not have SAP NetWeaver Gateway installed, this parameter allows you to access the component from another SAP system.
PIMSERVICEPROVIDER/HTTPCONNECTION: This is the HTTP connection to access the PIM service provider.
PIMCLIENT/MAXASSETNUMBER: This is the maximum number of assets to be returned from the PIM service provider to the PIM client. If nothing is defined, no restrictions are imposed for the number of search results.
Note: If using the demo test data container (CATE_ECTD_PIM_DEMO_DATA), you do not need to define values for the PIMSERVICEPROVIDER/RFCDESTINATION or PIMSERVICEPROVIDER/HTTPCONNECTION parameters.
To assign a configuration to all users, leave the User field blank for all parameters. To override the default and create configurations for specific users, create additional sets of parameters with the same user name assigned to each parameter in the configuration.
