Use
You have activated the functions of the operational data provider (ODP) with the business function Sales and Distribution, Analytics 01 (LOG_SD_ANALYTICS_01
). This allows you to execute operational reporting with direct access to the ERP database without the need to replicate data in a Business Warehouse.
To prepare the data, the business function reuses the DataSources for the extraction of sales documents, delivery documents, and billing documents into BI. It uses the DataSources of applications 11 (Sales), 12 (Shipping), and 13 (Billing) from the Logistics Customizing Cockpit (transaction LBWE
).
During activation of the business function Sales and Distribution, Analytics 01 (LOG_SD_ANALYTICS_01
), the system automatically regenerates the extract structures. They then contain all of the fields used with the business function. The system uses report ANALOG_RMCSPWXP_COM_606
to generate the extract sturctures.
Requirements
Check whether report ANALOG_RMCSPWXP_COM_606
ran successfully.
To do this, call transaction SE11
. Enter MC11VA0ITM as the data type and choose Display. On the Components tab page, check if the Component column contains the field PZPERS
.
If the field does not exist, start report ANALOG_RMCSPWXP_COM_606
again manually in transaction SE38
.
Standard settings
Activities
Make the following settings in the order specified so that you can use the new functions without delay:
- Activate the DataSource
Use the Customizing activity Activate/Edit Extract Structures to start the Logistics Customizing Cockpit. The DataSources listed below from applications 11, 12, and 13 are released for ODP reporting.
Click on the name of a DataSource. The system opens DataSource Activation. Activate the DataSource by saving it. The system transfers the DataSource to an active version with the current delivery status.
Go back to the Logistics Customizing Cockpit. Carry out this step for each of the DataSources listed below.
DataSource Description
2LIS_11_VAHDR Sales Document Header Data
2LIS_11_VAITM Sales Document Item Data
2LIS_11_V_ITM Sales Shipping Allocation Item Data
2LIS_11_VASCL Sales Document Schedule Line
2LIS_11_V_SCL Sales-Shipping Allocation Schedule Line
2LIS_11_VAKON Sales Document Condition
2LIS_12_VCHDR Delivery Header Data
2LIS_12_VCITM Delivery Item Data
2LIS_13_VDHDR Billing Document Header Data
2LIS_13_VDITM Billing Document Item Data
2LIS_13_VDKON Billing Document Conditions
- Activate the update
Activate the update of the DataSources in the Logistics Customizing Cockpit. The recommended update type is delta direct.
In the extract structure of the respective application for a DataSource, choose the entry in the Update column. The Logistics Customizing Cockpit sets the DataSource to Active. When you confirm the system message that appears, the system saves the settings.
Carry out this step for all of the DataSources listed in the table.
If you have already activated the DataSources for extraction into a Business Warehouse and you use the update method delta queued, leave these settings as they are.
- Activate the content
Activate the respective BI content in Customizing activity Start BI Content Activation Workbench. Under the business category 03 (Business Functions), in the Activation of Sales Analytics content bundle (
LOG_SD_ANALYTICS_01
), you can find all of the content objects that were created for Sales, Shipping, and Billing. You can include the activated content objects in a transport request and transport them to a production system. If you use a Business Warehouse Accelerator, you have to create the connectors again manually in the production system.
