In this step, you define any number of your own user-defined characteristics with the help of a customer enhancement project. You can use these user-defined characteristics in drilldown reports based on master data characteristics to obtain data not available in the standard drilldowns.

Requirements
Standard settings
Standard reporting for investment programs (current data) allows you to create reports based on a number of pre-defined master data characteristics.
Recommendation
You should review your needs carefully. Generally, you should not need to use enhancement projects, since all common requirements are already met by the standard system functions.
Activities
Activate a customer enhancement project (using any key) using SAP enhancement AAIP0003.
