In this step, you define depreciation keys for calculating interest.
The system calculates interest, in the same way as depreciation, using calculation methods. These calculation methods have to be assigned to the respective depreciation keys as interest calculation keys.
Requirements
You must have created at least one chart of depreciation of your own.
Standard settings
SAP provides standard depreciation keys with interest calculation in each country-specific chart of depreciation.
Activities
Assign an interest calculation key to depreciation keys.
Further notes (Transport)
You can include the depreciation key in a transport request (Key -> Transport in the overview screen of the transaction). Note that the definition of the depreciation key only applies in one client. Therefore, transport is not only necessary between systems (such as, from a test system to a productive system), but also in order to make the depreciation key available in other clients.
