In this step, you define the following fields:
- asset master record fields for which you can set up your own meaning (evaluation groups)
- a field for identifying environmental protection measures
- a field for the reason for investment
You can use these fields (just as you can any other master data fields) as selection criteria in reporting (using dynamic selections). You can also use these fields in sort versions.
Note
You can enter the valid entries for these evaluation groups in a check table, but you do not necessarily have to define them there. The system uses the following logic:
If at least one entry is defined for an evaluation group in the check table, the system checks the values entered in the asset master record against this table. If no entries are defined in the check table (table empty), the system does not check the entries to see if they are valid. In this case you can enter any evaluation group you like.
