In this step, you define investment support keys. Investment support keys are needed for claimimg investment support measures. The definition of the investment support key contains all information needed for claiming the investment support.
When you enter an investment support key in the master record of an asset, you indicate that the asset is eligible for investment support. There is a standard report in the system that allows you to select all investment support measures and to create an investment support claim form. Once the investment support is approved by the authorities, you can use the same report to create a posting session for claiming the investment support.
Standard settings
SAP provides sample investment support keys.
Activities
- Define an investment support key for each investment support that you want to claim.
- Define plausibilities for this investment support key for asset master data maintenance.
Using this method, you can specify that the system automatically defaults a certain investment support key in the asset master record of assets that are assigned to a particular plant, for example.
- Enter the G/L accounts that should be posted when investment support is claimed.
