In this step, you define the period controls that are dependent on company code or fiscal year, for depreciation keys with period control by fiscal years.

Standard settings

SAP does not supply any standard depreciation keys with period control by fiscal years.

Recommendation

Normally period control is not dependent on the fiscal year. This function is only intended for those countries where this type of period control is a legal requirement.

Activities

  1. Define your own depreciation key (in the customer name range: Zxxx) and set the indicator "Period control according to fiscal years".
  2. Create separate period controls for the depreciation key per
    • company code
    • fiscal year and
    • transaction type

      Enter these under Create.
