The detailed classification of accounting transactions using the transaction types in Asset Accounting is not useful for legal consolidation. Usually, a more general classification is sufficient. Therefore, in this activity, you can group FI-AA transaction types together for legal consolidation. You can make this grouping by assigning a common transaction type to all FI-AA transaction types in a transaction category, for consolidation purposes. This consolidation transaction type is generally the FI-AA transaction type used for the corresponding transaction category.
Example
For example, all transaction types for external acquisitions can receive the same legal consolidation transaction type 100 (purchase acquisition).
Standard settings
Corresponding consolidation transaction types are assigned to the standard transaction types of the system.
Activities
Assign the same consolidation transaction type to the FI-AA transaction types of a transaction category.
