In this step, you use a prepared customer enhancement project to change the output of the asset number in the standard reports of Asset Accounting. For example, the inventory number can be output instead of the asset number.
Note
Enhancement projects function on the basis of certain positions in standard SAP programming code that have been prepared by SAP to allow the call of function modules programmed by the user to meet his/her specific requirements. Therefore, it is possible to implement enhancement projects only if you have knowledge of the ABAP/4 programming language.
Standard settings
The asset number is output as the primary key in all standard reports in the standard system.
Recommendation
You should review your needs carefully. Generally, you should not need to use enhancement projects, since all common requirements are already met by the standard system functions.
Activities
- Modify function module EXIT_SAPDBADA_002 and the included program in it to your requirements.
- Activate a customer enhancement project (any key) with SAP enhancement BADA0002.
