You only need to carry out this step if you need to change the standard document structure in the system for certain asset postings.
You define line item schemas in this step. You can use line item schemas to specify the lines items used for creating asset documents, and the accounts which are posted.
Example
The legal regulations in the Czech Republic require a different asset retirement document than is offered in the standard system.
Note
Most Customers do not need to use line item schemas, since the standard document structure in the system fulfills the most common accounting requirements.
Standard settings
SAP provides a standard document structure for all asset postings.
Recommendation
Changing the document structure is a very serious modification of the system. Therefore, you should carefully consider
- If this step is really necessary
- If your new settings are consistent from an accounting point of view
Activities
- Define line item schemas.
- Specify when the schema should be used. You can use the following key parameters for making this specification:
- Country
- Cross-system deprec. area
- Transaction type
If you do not make any entries here, the system uses the standard document structure.
