In this step, you enter asset-specific percentage rates for the base value for depreciation.

Recommendation

This step meets country-specific requirements in Japan. In most other countries, you do not need this function.

Activities

  1. Select the company code.
  2. Enter the affected assets. Assign a base value percentage to each asset, per depreciation area and fiscal year.

    The fiscal year entry you make is the "to" fiscal year. This means that the base value is valid until this fiscal year. After this fiscal year, the system uses 100% of the base value that is in the depreciation key.

Note

The percentage rates you enter are only effective when the assets use a depreciation key (in the depreciation area specifications in the asset master record) that uses base value 28 (asset-specific reduction).
