You can create an asset directly from the purchasing transaction for for purchase orders. Using this method, you can enter an asset purchase order, without creating an asset beforehand in Asset Accounting. This asset will serve as the account assignment object for the purchase order.

In this step you specify the asset classes that the system should use as defaults when you create an asset from within a purchase order. You have to specify the asset class in releationship to the material group.

Activities

Assign an asset class to each of your material groups for fixed assets.
