For Asset Accounting, you specify if:

  • A piece of equipment should automatically be created when an asset is created.
  • An existing equipment master record that is linked to the asset should also be changed when you change the asset master data.

In addition, you specify for Plant Maintenance if:

  • An asset should automatically be created when an equipment master record is created.
  • An existing asset master record that is linked to the piece of equipment should be changed when the equipment master data is changed.

If the system successfully creates or changes a piece of equipment (or an asset), then there are no further return messages. If there are errors, you automatically receive a message in your inbox as a result of the workflow.
