Use
You use this IMG activity to configure a new KPI. You can use this for:
Maintaining the metadata information for the KPI
Assigning the KPIs to objects
Maintaining parameters for KPI
Requirements

Activities
To maintain the metadata information for the KPI, you must do the following:
Select New Entries.
Enter the KPI ID. It can be any alphanumeric number to uniquely identify the KPI.
Choose Data Provider Type from the dropdown list. Choose for example, Custom Data Provider.
Enter the Data Provider Name. For example, if you choose Custom Data Provider (the class has to implement the interface IF_EAMS_KPI_PROVIDER) you must enter the class name that is implemented for using this service.
Choose the Key Figure Name or the Characteristic Name.
Enter the KPI Description.
Choose the Role Name (the PFCG role).
Save the results.
To assign the KPIs to the objects, you must do the following:
Select the KPI and double-click on Assign KPI to Objects.
Select New Entries.
Choose the Object Type. You can choose multiple object types for a single KPI.
Save the results.
To maintain parameters for KPI (to be displayed on the right navigation panel of the objects on map) you must do the following:
Select the KPI and double-click on Maintain Parameters for KPI.
Choose New Entries.
Enter the Unique Filed Name for example, FROM_DATE or TO_DATE. There should not be any character space in the unique field name.
Choose the Parameter Type from the dropdown list, for example, Query Parameter, Visual Chart Type Parameter and Visual Range Type Parameter. The system sends the Query Parameter to the Data Provider Name (class name) for fetching the KPI data. You can then visualize the KPI data in the Visual Chart Type or the Visual Range Type parameter.
Enter the Data Type Name (it can either be a data element or a data type).
Enter the Field Label for example, From Date, To Date. This is an optional field. If you do not enter it here, the system picks up the label from the data element name.
Choose the Field Type from the dropdown list. It can be a dropdown list, input field or a checkbox. For example, From Date is an input field.
Choose Range Type from the dropdown list. It can be either Single Valued or Multi Valued.
Enter the Low Value and High Value for the Visual Range Type. This is only applicable for the visual range type parameter.
Choose the Color for Range from the dropdown list. You can choose any color for example, Red, Blue, Green. This is only applicable for the visual range type parameter.
Enter the Tooltip for the field/input parameter to be displayed on the right navigation panel of the objects on map.
