In this step, you define the function for updating the quality notifications in the QM Information System by defining an appropriate update group for each quality notification type.
Standard settings
Suitable update groups have already been defined in the standard system for all applicable quality notification types.
Activities
- Determine whether the SAP-defined assignments of update groups to quality notification types meet your requirements.
- Adapt the table, if necessary.
Further notes
The update group is used to update the different types of business transactions in the statistics.
The update rules for the key figures of an information structure are always described in reference to an update group.
If a quality notification type is not assigned an update group, data is not updated in the information system for the affected quality notifications.
You can record a user-specific update log to monitor the update function.
